- Origin and evolution of apparel styles through history, from ancient civilizations to contemporary periods. Study of the impact of sociological, economic, political, and physical factors affecting apparel and accessories through the centuries. Survey of trends of recurring styles throughout global fashion history, with a cross-cultural focus on both Western and non-Western dress traditions.
