    Description
This is the second of two ESL courses designed to develop communicative competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in the context of technical trade professions. Topics include advanced practice with workplace vocabulary, teamwork, problem-solving, work ethics, safety protocols, and interpersonal relations. The overall goal of this course is for students to apply effective communication strategies in workplace contexts. Upon completion and demonstration of competence, students will be better prepared to enter training programs for technical trades such as electrical, welding, industrial, mechanical, automation, and maintenance.
