Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis is the first of two ESL courses designed to develop communicative competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in the context of technical trade professions. Topics include introduction to workplace vocabulary, teamwork, problem solving, work ethics, safety protocols and interpersonal relations. The overall goal of this course is for students to apply effective communication strategies in workplace contexts. Upon completion and demonstration of competence, students will be prepared to enter the second-level Vocational ESL course, ESL 604.
