    Course explores concepts and issues related to teaching diverse learners in today's schools, Kindergarten through grade twelve (K-12). Topics include teaching as a profession, historical and philosophical foundations of the United States education system, contemporary educational issues, and California's standards for both student curriculum and teacher performance.
