Must be licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant, or must meet all requirements for application for Orthodontic Assistant Permit licensure. At time of registration, must provide proof of qualification to take the Orthodontic Assistant Permit examination, including the following: a current Basic Life Skills for Healthcare Providers CPR license from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, proof of completion of a Dental Board of California approved 8-hour Infection Control course, proof of completion of a 2-hour Dental Practice Act course, and proof of completion of an Orthodontic Assistant course.
