For Option C, D, and E students: Admission to the Nursing Program. The focus of this course is on the theory and clinical application of the Nursing Process and the Roy Adaptation Model when providing care for patients with complex medical-surgical conditions in acute care settings. Continued emphasis is placed on the role of the nurse as a manager of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. The student must receive a 'C" grade or better in the lecture component and a satisfactory grade in clinical lab in order to pass the course.
