This course gives the student practice in speaking and understanding German as used in travel, in the home, in school, and in everyday life. Emphasis is placed on vocabulary, idioms, and language patterns fundamental to an active and practical use of German. This course is recommended for all German majors and develops the appreciation of cultural diversity.
