"LGBT Literature" is focused on the examination and analysis of literature that is written by or about LGBTQ+ individuals, or includes themes, characters or plots that attempt to represent lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer issues or problems. We will examine how these authors and texts create characters that challenge or contravene accepted sexual norms as well as transgress traditional or binary gender roles, gender expression, and gender identity.
