- Prerequisite
- ENGL C1000 or ENGL C1000E or equivalent with a grade of "C" or higher, or "Pass". This course studies English literature from the Anglo-Saxon period to the last quarter of the 18th century. Emphasis is on the study of influential and significant texts and authors; the evolution of literary traditions, themes, and genres; and the contexts of British literature: historical, philosophical, social, political, and aesthetic.
