    Prerequisite
    ENGL C1000 or ENGL C1000E equivalent with a grade of "C" or higher or "Pass". This course offers instruction in analytical, critical, and argumentative writing, critical thinking, research strategies, information literacy, and proper documentation through the study of literary works from major genres, while developing students' close reading skills and promoting appreciation for the aesthetic qualities of literature. This course is not open to students who have taken ENGL 101.
