    This course introduces students to the foundational concepts, terminology, and societal implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Students examine how AI systems function, how data is used to train models, and how AI technologies influence communication, labor, culture, and learning. Emphasis is placed on ethical reasoning, AI literacy, media literacy, bias awareness, privacy considerations, and responsible human-AI collaboration. Students critically evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy, fairness, credibility, and bias while exploring real-world AI applications across industries. This course serves as a broad introductory class suitable for students across disciplines and prepares students for further study of applied AI tools and practices. Transfer Credit: CSU
