    Prerequisite
    Admission to the Dental Hygiene Program Intended for students accepted in the Dental Hygiene Baccalaureate Degree Program. This dental hygiene course on prevention and biofilm management is designed to provide comprehensive concepts of optimum oral health care through plaque control, preventive dentistry and the role of the auxiliaries on the dental health team. Emphasis is placed on oral hygiene practices and patient motivation. The etiology of soft and hard deposits and patient instruction in biofilm control care are focused on for in depth understanding of practical applications of preventive strategies.
