    Prerequisite
    Courses taught at the level of Introduction to College Composition with a grade of "C" or higher or "Pass" or equivalent or appropriate placement based on the college's multiple measures process with eligibility for ENGL C1000 or ENGL C1000E or a course at the level of college reading. This course presents theories and principles of communication with an emphasis on application of concepts relevant to intercultural communication. It has a culture general approach focusing on variables which influence the communication process. Assignments and activities involve students in the analysis of different communication patterns across cultures and the exploration and practice of methods, skills and techniques for improving intercultural communication. This course is not open to students who are enrolled in or who have received credit in SPCH 110.
