    Description
    Examines the social, economic, and political causes and consequences of major social problems. Analyzes the ways in which social problems are constructed, defined, and addressed. Topics include income and wealth disparities, structural poverty, institutional racism, gender discrimination, families, health care, education, and the criminal justice system. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
