    Description
Introduces core principles used to understand the ways in which social structures, institutions, and processes affect human experiences, perceptions, and behaviors. Topics include culture, families, education, health, economy, and politics. Emphasizes race, class, and gender as integral dimensions of social life and inequality. Highlights student research, writing, and reporting, both individually and as part of a learning community, and will often meet in a seminar format. This honors course provides enhanced academic rigor with demands that exceed those of a standard version of the course. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
