    Introduces core principles used to understand the ways in which social structures, institutions, and processes affect human experiences, perceptions, and behaviors. Topics include culture, families, education, health, economy, and politics. Emphasizes race, class, and gender as integral dimensions of social life and inequality. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
