Transfers ToCSUDescriptionProvides rehearsal and performance of compositions written in the jazz idiom for small groups of brass, wind, and rhythm section players. Students will rehearse and perform compositions from swing, latin, and fusion styles. Emphasis is on chord progression analysis, solo devices, and improvisation. Must have proficiency on a musical instrument or as a singer demonstrated by audition. Some of the class hours for this course may be scheduled as To Be Arranged (TBA).
