    Description
    Traces the cultural, racial, economic, literary, and political history of Mexican Americans in the general context of U.S. history since 1877, analyzing the role Chicanos have played in the United States and the changes that role has undergone. Critical, analytical written work is the primary means of evaluation. HIST 21B, HIST 21BH, ETHN 21B, and ETHN 21BH are cross-listed courses. Students may enroll in one course for credit, but not more than one. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
