This is an honors course. Readings serve as models for student work, sources for research, and a catalyst for class discussions. Emphasis is on writing for various audiences, purposes, and contexts. This honors course provides enhanced academic rigor with demands that exceed those of a standard version of the course. Honors section stresses self-guided academic inquiry and in-depth research and analysis. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
