    Emphasizes the detailed study of a specific topic in film such as a single film genre or style; a particular director, screenwriter, or film star; the cinematic treatment of a theme, or the screen versions of literary works. Students should attend the 1st class meeting and will be allowed to register on the 1st day of the 3rd week of classes. This is a non-credit course taught with The Language of Film: Theory and Practice. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
