    Description
    Surveys major British writers from the Middle Ages through 1785, including representative texts by writers such as Chaucer, Spenser, Shakespeare, Donne, Milton, Swift, and Pope. Relates the literature to the social, political, and cultural contexts in which it was written and read. Students enrolled in the Honors Transfer Program may count this course towards the "Honors Scholar" designation with an Honors Contract. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
