    Focuses on knowledge and skills for creating developmentally appropriate curriculum and environments for children emphasizing essential role of play and sensory learning. Explores teaching strategies and curriculum development based on theoretical frameworks, observation, reflection and assessment. Emphasizes the teacher's role in supporting development and learning across the curriculum including the development of language and literacy, social and emotional skills, creativity, math, science and all content areas. May be offered in Spanish or in a bilingual format. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
