    Presents the basic concepts of ages and stages, developmental theory, and child observation and analysis from birth to 36 months of age. Students will apply theory, concepts, and terminology to observations, written documentation, and analysis of infant/toddler development. Prepares students for work in the field of early childhood education and credit-bearing early childhood education courses that apply to the California Child Development Permit Matrix. May be offered in a bilingual format. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
