    Description
    Covers theory, knowledge, and technology for heat-pump inverters systems. Topics include: inverter operation; smart thermostats and system efficiency; ducted versus ductless heat-pump systems; retrofitting; heat-pump design, selection, and installation; smart diagnostic tools. Students successfully completing the course can pursue the Educational Standard Corporation (ESCO) Heat Pump Certification recognized by the Department of Energy. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
