    Description
Introduces the building auditing and improvement process including energy efficiency, comfort, and safety in preparation for the Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification exam. All aspects of a building are examined: design, quality of workmanship and materials, installation procedures, proper operation practices, and the use of testing and monitoring equipment for cooling, heating, cooking, and ventilation systems. This is a fundamental course for the basic knowledge and application of the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) required in the State of California. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
