- Introduces lettering techniques and typographic designs and use. Covers both traditional methods and contemporary applications. Includes a study of calligraphy from its beginnings in Ancient Rome to modern commercial use, and typography from moveable metal type to digital computer information. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
