Transfers ToCSUDescriptionIndependent study requiring the demonstrated skills and/or intermediate proficiency in the applied subject area, and for those who have the initiative to work independently on projects or research outside the context of regularly scheduled classes. This course carries transfer subject matter credit and elective credit to four-year institutions. Courses will be designed by department. May be offered in a distance-learning format. Transfers to CSU; UC, with conditions: Students must retain a copy of the Special Studies form, the course syllabus and work completed for this course. Credit for this course is contingent upon a review of the course outline and other materials by the UC transfer campus.
