Investigates how photography in new media influences current perceptions of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and cultural identity from a historical, philosophical, political, and aesthetic context. Highlights student research, writing, and reporting, both individually and as part of a learning community. This honors course provides enhanced academic rigor with demands that exceed those of a standard version of the course. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
