It explores theories of justice, the history of social justice movements, and contemporary issues through the lenses of sociology, history, media studies, art and music. Social justice movements in relation to ethnic and racial groups in the United States are examined to provide a basis for a better understanding of the socio-economic, cultural and political conditions among key social groups. Interdisciplinary study of race and ethnicity in the United States is analyzed.
