The course covers terminology used in the study of drugs, addiction and alcoholism; and explore myths, images and stereotypes of substance abuse and substance users. Students will explore causes and effects of substance abuse and addiction. Students will also analyze the effectiveness and economic impact related to addiction prevention and treatment strategies.
