- This course addresses 17th and 18th century philosophy with an emphasis on metaphysical, epistemological, political, and psychological developments of rationalism and empiricism in philosophical thought. This course covers thinkers from Descartes to Kant and may include approximate precursors and successors. Recommended Preparation: ENGL 1A.
