    Description
    This is a beginning course in English as a Second Language that focuses on developing literacy. This course focuses on survival English skills through building vocabulary and developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Students are introduced to common practices in the American classroom and norms of social exchanges in the United States. This noncredit course, in conjunction with ESL 192, will prepare students for intermediate courses in ESL.
