Course emphasis is on math-specific vocabulary development, fundamentals of mathematical directions, and comprehension and resolution of word problems. This course takes a content-based approach to instruction, connecting skills to cultural context, focusing on problem solving in arithmetic and business math, as well as building a fundamental knowledge of algebra, statistics, and accounting.
