    Description
    This course provides theory and practical knowledge of business practices used in cosmetology. The business in beauty course gives students the tools they need to improve their business skills needed as a cosmetologist as students prepare for exciting careers in the beauty industry. Course content includes learning how to discover your vision, set your business growth goals, strategize your business development, best practices for cover letters, resumes, portfolios, social media profiles, and a review of all cosmetology skills as students prepare for their final class in the series. In order to meet state requirements for testing, students must have a high school diploma or its equivalent or have completed 10th grade and passed an Ability to Benefit (ATB) and be at least 17 years old. Recommended Preparation: COSM 50A, COSM 50B, COSM 50C, COSM 51A and COSM 51B.
