    Description
    This course provides theory and practical knowledge of nail technology used in cosmetology. Ensuring use of proper sterilization and sanitation techniques students will learn about nail analysis and conditions, water manicures, hand/foot and arm/ankle massage, acrylic, liquid and powder brush-on, artificial nail tips and nail wrap and repairs along with communication skills, professional ethics, salesmanship, record keeping and client service records. In order to meet state requirements for testing, students must have a high school diploma or its equivalent or have completed 10th grade and passed an Ability to Benefit (ATB) and be at least 17 years old. Prerequisite: COSM 50C.
