    Description
    This laboratory-based class covers principles of astronomy, including motions of the earth, time measurement, the solar system, stellar and galactic phenomena and cosmology. Star and constellation identification are also covered as well as viewing of telescopic objects. Utilizing observations through telescopes to explore the planets and moons of the solar system, stars, nebulas and galaxies, students are able to examine the major principles of astronomy. A field trip may be required.
