    Prerequisite
    : Completion of NS 101A, or NS 200A for LVN and transfer students. The nursing process is used to meet the health care and nursing needs of chronically ill adult medical/surgical patients. Integrated throughout the course are the concepts of patient- centered care, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, safety, and informatics. The roles and responsibilities of a professional nurse including practitioner, member of a team, scholar, and teacher will be developed. (CSU, AVC)
