Using literature and literary analysis as the subject matter, this advanced composition course offers students instruction and practice in critical reading, thinking, and writing. Students will learn to create effective arguments that demonstrate their ability to reason logically, to recognize the structural, rhetorical, and aesthetic features of both primary and secondary texts, and to engage and converse with a variety of perspectives and approaches from different literary genres and traditions.
