    Prerequisite
    Completion of CFE 102. Designed for students preparing to work in early childhood and school-age settings, this course provides an overview of positive child guidance practices, foundations for understanding children's behavior, guidelines for effective communication, and assistance in planning curriculum and environments that promote the growth of social competence. Directed observations of early childhood programs in the community will be required. A current TB clearance may be required. (CSU, AVC)
