This course provides in-depth instruction into the multiple disciplines of traffic collision investigation. Topics include scene management techniques and an introduction to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, highway engineering definitions, Nine-Cell Matrix, incident scene photography, primary collision factors, identification and documentation of physical evidence, measuring and diagramming methodology, use of a traffic template's nomographs and functions, and an in-depth discussion on proper traffic collision documentation per Highway Patrol Manual 110.5, Collision Investigation Manual (CIM).
