    Description
    convictions; 2) possess a valid California Driver's License; 3) undergo a fingerprint and criminal history check; 4) be a minimum of 18 years of age; 5) be a United States high school graduate; pass the GED, pass the California High School Proficiency Examination, or have attained a two- year or four-year degree from an accredited college or university; and 6) complete a medical suitability examination. This course provides students with advanced skills and knowledge for providing weaponless defense ground fighting instruction in State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified law enforcement and/or State of California Board of State and Community Corrections Standard and Training for Corrections (STC) certified corrections environments. Topics include legal updates, ground control, take-downs, wall defenses, escapes, and sustained resistance techniques. Pass/No Pass only.
