The course topics include: Emergency Medical System (EMS), the safety/well-being of the paramedic, medical legal/ethical, anatomical and physiology, pathophysiology of all human systems, medical terminology, oral communications, and life span development. Topics include principles of public health and epidemiology including public health emergencies, health promotion and illness and injury prevention.
