Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis bridge course is designed for the California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who is admitted for advanced placement into the second year of the Associate Degree Nursing (Registered Nursing) Program. It introduces the concept based curriculum and the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to nursing. It focuses on nursing management of the patient's response to health alterations as well as health promotion through the application of nursing knowledge, nursing process, and evidence based practice. The clinical laboratory experience is designed to facilitate the development of the core competencies of clinical practice: communication, leadership, patient centered care, professionalism, safety, teamwork and collaboration, evidence based practice, informatics and technology, and quality improvement.
