- This course explores California building codes and standards, federal regulations concerning life-safety issues, and barrier-free access relative to residential and contract design. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Universal Design are detailed. Attention is given to the interior designer's liability for the public's health, safety, and welfare.
