It includes the process of migration and settlement in the United States by people from East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific islands. It examines the historical experience of these groups from a social, political, economic, and cultural perspective, with an emphasis on the following themes: work, family, community formation, government policies, race relations, and ethnic identities. It also addresses the contributions of Asian Americans to the multicultural development of contemporary American society, including the interaction of Asian Americans with people of European, African, Latino/a/x, and indigenous American descent.Usually HeldMon Wed 10:30am–11:50am
