Description: This course introduces students to the world of maps and the geographic techniques and technologies that are utilized in the creation of modern cartographic documents. Specific topics include cartographic design, basic statistics, the Global Positioning System (GPS), Internet mapping, remote sensing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
