It also focuses on climate change in Earth's recent history (the past few million years) and the role that humans have had in climate change, especially since the industrial revolution. Additionally, it investigates the effects of climate change in today's world and discusses possible technological and political solutions to this vast and increasingly important problem, and how societies may adapt to the changes.
