This course meets the training needs of individuals charged with the collection and maintenance of fire weather data collected from remote automated weather systems used to support the National Fire Danger Rating System (NFDRS). Topics include WIMS navigation and functionality, weather station siting and maintenance, observations, weather forecaster interactions, managing the model, viewing outputs, and troubleshooting.
