    Description
    must be an employee of a federal wildland fire fighting agency, which includes: United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, the United States Department of Interior's Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, or a member of a local or state fire agency. This course meets the training needs of individuals charged with the collection and maintenance of fire weather data collected from remote automated weather systems used to support the National Fire Danger Rating System (NFDRS). Topics include WIMS navigation and functionality, weather station siting and maintenance, observations, weather forecaster interactions, managing the model, viewing outputs, and troubleshooting. Pass/No Pass only.
