    Description
    must 1) be an employee of a federal wildland fire fighting agency, which includes: United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, the United States Department of Interior's Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, or a member of a local or state fire agency. This course provides an introduction into fire behavior calculations by manual methods, using nomograms, and the Fireline Handbook Appendix B: Fire Behavior. Topics include studying inputs (weather, slope, fuels, and fuel moisture), interpreting fire behavior outputs, documentation processes, and fire behavior briefing components. Pass/ No Pass only.
