Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionmust 1) be an employee of a federal wildland fire fighting agency, which includes: United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, the United States Department of Interior's Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, or a member of a local or state fire agency, and 2) satisfactory performance as a helicopter crewmember (HECM). This course prepares students to perform the job of helicopter manager. Topics include policy, dispatching and ordering, contract administration and pay documents, load calculations, risk management and simulation. The final exercise gives students a realistic helicopter manager experience. Pass/No Pass only.
